Just because you found an album of old photos doesn't mean you should bombard your social media followers. Don't overwhelm your friends and followers with too many old photos. Believe me, it will save you a lot of grief later. In the end, the most important part about your bio is for others to get a taste of who you are as a person don’t spoil the whole story, just give a teaser and be as true to your personality as you can. Fine, you put up a few pictures with you looking serious stuff, but that’s not all you are, right? Let your personality shine through your pictures smile a little, upload pictures of you doing activities you enjoy. Smiling makes people a thousand times more attractive. Just use your words, please and thank you. But I’m pretty sure you don’t need to end every sentence with a ? or a or even a. They’re short, get the point across, and help indicate the tone of messages. You can discuss your favourite quotes later a quote in your bio is mostly just pretentious. In fact, skip the quote all together, unless it’s something super meaningful to you or earth-shattering in its poetry or wit or whatever. I’m sorry, these are worse than empty bios. Make sure there’s enough pictures of you for them to know what you look like. Not your pet, or your group of friends, or even that sick sunset you saw the other day. Yes, women do want to see your dog, or cat, or whatever animal you have or met, but the first thing they want to see is who you are. Less pictures means less trust, right from the get-go. Yeah, it’s not a huge problem if you’ve got other things in your profile to supplement a lack of enough pictures, but try to make sure you put up at least three decent pictures. You have less than three pictures uploaded And if you are using something you put up on your story, maybe try to make sure it’s relevant or at least funny.ħ. Pictures with a little editing is different, but leave those weird Snapchat and Instagram filters to their intended platform please. You’re putting up pictures with Instagram or Snapchat filters and captionsĪt least put up the original picture rather than something you got off your story or your friends’ story. Unless you’re on a beach or the pool in the picture, a shirtless pic just looks desperate.Ħ. But leave something to the imagination, right? Save it for when you’re actually chatting. Please, for the love of all that’s holy, stop with the shirtless pics It might feel witty to you but to the reader it just sounds rude and kinda unnecessary.ĥ. Okay, I know those “swipe left if you don’t like X” kind of bios are popular for some reason, but believe me when I say that all they do is increase your chance of actually getting swiped left. And if you’re one of them, I don’t know if you’ve ever accomplished anything with this, but please stop. And if you’re rolling your eyes, thinking “no one does that”, I’m sorry to inform you that, yes, there are people who do that. Please don’t just write “Hookups” in your bio and go. As long as you come off genuine, you’ve got a chance. Just talk about some of your interests, what you’re looking for, and leave the rest to when you’re talking. Keep your bio simple and just try not to type lyk dis. I’m sorry but no one actually likes reading big words used incorrectly, or like at all. Whether your profile is verified or not, you’ve got to give people something to go on how will she know she wants to talk to you if there’s nothing to pique her curiosity? Plus, girls view empty bios as a red flag, so make sure to put something there.
